The Timperley Family History and Genealogy web site was created for those interested in the origins of the Timperley family and for those interested in genealogy in general. It is intended to provide resources to those researching the Timperley family name (including all of its various spellings) and links to others doing the same. We hope it provides you with useful information and that you find it to be a valuable resource.
Who can have their family listed on this Web Site?
Any Timperley family or family descended from a Timperley, male or female, no matter how your name is spelled. All you need do is contact the author by email or post and supply the necessary information. We hope to hear from you soon!
General
Family information is usually considered a private affair, even if it involves records in the public domain. Therefore, the policy of the Timperley Family Home Page will be as follows: Any family who requests that family information not be published, in whole or in part, will be honored. However, prior permission to publish information that was obtained from the public domain about a particular family WILL NOT be sought from that family.
Information Sources and Publishing
The following information sources will be used to create the content of the Timperley Home Page. The Web Master(s) considers there to be four potential sources of information. They will be used with the following restrictions:
- Public Information
Information in the Public Domain, including public documents, records, photos and other published works (assuming permission has been granted) or media. Restrictions: The only information that will be published for the last living relative and for all subsequent generations (whether living or deceased) for each family will be the individual's given name at birth and his/her relationship within the family. Therefore, information such as date of birth, marriage or death, age, marital status, origin, race, religion, mothers maiden name, address or other sensitive information and/or other media WILL NOT be published where there is any potential for the misuse of that information, even though that information may be obtained through other sources.
- Private Information intended for publishing
This is information or other media provided by each family (if any) intended for publishing on the Timperley Home Page. Restrictions: Information submitted for this purpose will be published only at the discretion of the Web Master. The restrictions associated with public information will apply, unless specially excepted. The Web Master will not be held responsible for the accuracy of any private information.
- Private information intended for the private use of family members
This information WILL NOT be published or referred to on the Timperley Home Page. It is recognized that family members may intentionally (or inadvertently) share and exchange information about their family (or another) that is private in nature. This information may be necessary from a private family history point of view and may be intended to answer the questions that later generations will most likely ask or for other reasons. However, this information WILL NOT BE PUBLISHED.

Information Sharing
1) If the Web Master receives a public request (i.e. this request will be published) for public information that was not published on the Timperley Family Home Page due to the limitations of the media or policy, the Web Master may, at the Web Master's discretion, provide such information privately (i.e. the information requested will not be published). No other information will be provided.
2) The Web Master will refer all questions and requests about private information to the respective provider(s) of that information. The Web Master will not be held responsible for the accuracy of any private information.
Messages and Comments
If you have a comment or some interesting information, please e-mail me. If you have a message to post immediately, use
the message link below. Comments e-mailed to me and of general interest to the web site
will be posted on the Comments page, unless otherwise
requested. Family news items will be posted to the News page. The
difference between a Comment and a Message is this:
Comments must be sent via e-mail to the web master (that's me) before
they can be published on the web site. I will certainly respond to any comment and usually
post them on the Comments page. However, this process takes time, but your comment is
saved for posterity.
Messages appear immediately in the guest book, which is actually
independent of this web site [Guestbook by TheGuestBook.com] and therefor, any
important information posted to the Guestbook could eventually be lost, but you don't have
to wait for me to respond or to post the message.
