- UPDATE 01 March 2007
Updated Comments, News and some member's email addresses. Changed all email addresses to a
new format that will confuse most email address harvesting robots (no spam please!). To
use a new format email address, remove all the spaces (if any) and replace the

to: name@address.org. Added one new family from Petawawa,
Ontario..

Cheshire and Lancashire England for Timperley and Timperly families. This should be done

families (i.e. with different spellings). I could really use the help and would appreciate
it. Thanks. Mark.

- CORRECTION TO ACHIEVEMENT OF ARMS 11 Dec 2000
I've made a significant update to the Timperley Achievement of Arms
page, which includes a correction to one of the coats of arms. Originally, I had shown one
set of the Timperley of Timperley arms as a black lion with white spots (i.e. Gules, a
lion rampant ermine) but with some gentle encouragement from Ken Baker kenvin.baker(at)virgin.net, I believe now that
the actual arms were a black and white lion with black and white spots (i.e. Gules, a lion
rampant ermine, ermines) as shown on the updated page. Thanks to Ken for pointing this
out!
- DEATH NOTICE 02 Dec 1999
Bernard Timperley regrets to inform us that his brother John, who maintained the Timperley of Burnley, Lancashire, England page, died on

He has kindly taken over responsibility for the web page.
- REUNION 16-Aug-99
I recently attended the world-famous Timperley Reunion at Norfolk, Nebraska two weeks ago.
86 Timperleys showed up including an old Limey like me. I had never met any other
Timperleys outside my immediate family before so you can imagine how amazed I was. Check
out this photo taken on the evening of the reunion. Michael Timperley mtimperley(at)yahoo.com
- DEATH NOTICE 02 Jun 1999
Bessie (Timperley) BOND passed away in her sleep in a nursing home on June
1, 1999. She lived a very long and happy life. I am really glad I had the opportunity to
visit her recently. I gave her the web page that you constructed and she was very, very
pleased. I also gave her all of your web page on the history of the name and the different
families. John E.Timperley rotman80(at)xcelco.on.ca
- COUSIN FOUND! 18 Mar 1999
After reading the news and comments file, I was reading a comment from Barbara Timperley
from Jasper, Alberta and as you know we had relatives out there that returned to the
Alberta area of Canada around 1942. John Edward Timperley(1911-1942) killed in Sarnia, had
a wife of whom he married from the Byemoore area of Alberta. After John was killed by a
freak accident, his wife Betty and his 2 sons (Joe and Thomas) moved back to that area.
Although, from time to time, our family had contact with them, over time we slowly lost
touch with them. Anyway after reading her comment I felt that it may be a long shot but
maybe she had connections. So I e-mailed her and gave info.on my family and she mailed me
back with excitement and discovered we were related. I had no idea I had her as a cousin.
Thanks to the data we have found a lost connection.

- WEB SITE UPDATE 3-Feb-99
I have finally updated our web site. I can't believe it's been almost a year since the
last update. Sorry for the long delay. Hopefully, maintaining the site will be easier now
that I'm using different software. Thanks to everyone for all the new information. It's
got a new look too and should be easier to navigate. Hope you like it. I finally corrected
the spelling for December on the home page...why didn't anyone tell me! NOTE: You will
probably need version 3 of I.E. or Netscape to view everything correctly.
- BIRTH 28 Feb 1999
Here is a picture of the new addition to the Temperly family: Tyler Richard Temperly, born
in December 1998. Also, a family photo with Chuck, Teresa and Tyler. Chuck is the son of
Charles Douglas Temperly from Hazel Green, Wisconsin. CKTEMP0214(at)aol.com

- WEB SITE UPDATE 6-Apr-98
I received the news (below) about a death in our extended family, so I thought I should
publish this next edition of the web site as soon as possible. I've received a lot of
great information from many people (Thanks everyone!) and I'm struggling to get it all in.
Besides the regular updates I'm preparing several pages for R. H. Timperley of Queensland
who sent a great deal of his book called "Heroes Galore". Hopefully this will
all be done soon.
- DEATH NOTICE 27-Mar-98
It is with regret I wish to advise that my friend Alan Timperley passed away 13/3/98. He
died peacefully in his sleep from suspected heart failure. I know he was very interested
in the Timperley genealogy and that he visited your page often to see what updates there
were. I am pleased to see his name listed with special thanks and hope that it will remain
there in his memory. He was a good mate to me and will be missed. regards ... John Kubler kubler(at)one.net.au
- REUNION 31-Jan-98
Darrin and Stacy Grewek here, daughter of Clayton and Sharon Timperley. We were just on
the net today and noticed that you have something new on your web page. Well here is
something that you can put on it! This is a picture taken at the cousins picnic on
Saturday, last year ('97). This is a picture of the Dean Timperley family. I'm hoping that
I can get for you the other pictures taken that day too. But for now this is all I have.
We will write soon and hopefully have some more pictures! Darrin and Stacy Grewek highspd(at)tvsonline.net

- WEB SITE UPDATE 2-Oct-97
Wow, it's now October, where does the time go? I'm posting the update now even though I
still have a wealth of Genealogy Lost and Found families to put on the site. I
figure if I don't post soon, it might be months more before I'm done! Unfortunately my OCR
software cannot read the table format that my information is in, so I have to enter it by
hand. Sorry about the long delay on the update, especially for those who have submitted
data to me for posting. Two more families join us on the web and their pages have been
added to our growing collection, thanks to Stephen Timperley and Rony Lorraine Worrix.
Some family pages have been updated with new or corrected information. The Genealogy
Lost and Found section has been increased substantially. Another book has been added
to the reference section. The background graphic has changed to a parchment type look.
- WEB SITE UPDATE 27-Mar-1997
New in this addition: more history on the town of Timperley, with maps and photos,
more ancient history of the Mascy/Timperley connection of 1270, additional history
and archaeological findings on Timperley Hall, a new Lost and Found section
for genealogy and three more family genealogies from Altrincham and Hampton Wick,
England and New South Wales Australia. Thanks to Julie Englert, John Timperley and David
Timperley. Plus my own family has grown a little with the birth of Harrison Edwin
Timperley in March! His cute picture is on my page, Timperley of East Greenwich.
Follow the yellow "new" bullets from the home page to find the new stuff,
although some of the links are buried in the text and don't have new bullets, so read
carefully!
