Family HistoryJohn and Mary Ann Timperley were the Omaha matriarch and patriach--they had sixteen children. Edward Abbot was one of the sixteen. John and Mary Ann and 11 of their children, and then their spouses and their children are all buried in Mt. Hope in Omaha. I have found, I think, about 100 graves there belonging to Timperleys. I have spent months finding all of their obituaries and have quite a few funeral memos. Regarding John and Mary Ann and their 16 children and as many descendants as I have found (it is very much a work in progress--so bear with me). Of the 16, Elizabeth lived one week, William was 2 months old when he died. and John was stillborn. (this is not in birth order). Jane Plant was married to someone named Topes. I have been told she died in Missouri but know nothing else about her. Clarence Lee married Rebecca Helen Phalen (nicknamed "Nellie"). She was born in 1874 and died March 3, 1957. They had a son, Clarence Lee, born June 17, l897-died July 28, 1898. Clarence Lee, the father, died two months after his son was born by a lightning strike. The next year, the baby died. Father and son are buried together in Mt. Hope. Rebecca, the mother, remarried to John Fedde and the two of them are buried next to father and son Clarences. Frank Hoen Timperley married Bessie L. Wrage, born April 8, 1883 and died September 27, 1957. They had four children--Frank E., Donnell, Marjorie (Hawver) and Mabel ((Mrs. Thomas J. Dall). Frank and Bessie are buried by Marjorie, Donnell and his wife Ethel M. and Mabel and her husband Thomas. There is also a Bessie Maud buried with them, who lived from 1902-1904. I assume it was Bessie and Frank H.'s. Of the four children, I don't know about Frank E., but Marjorie Opal was born May 22, 1910 and died July 5, l989. She had a son William and two daughters, Marlene and Elaine. She and her husband divorced and I do not know about him. Mabel was born in 1906 and died May 29, l992. She married Thomas J. Dall, born 1902 and died 1956. They had a son Lavern and daughter Marilyn. Donnell Owen was born Feb. 22, 1913 and died Mary 14, l969. He married Ethel Marguerite Kuenzli, born July 5, l911 and died August 7, l967. I don't believe they had children. Karen Nelsen, Omaha, NE LucyIler(at)aol.com |
