Family HistoryI understand from talking with my 2d cousin John Edward Timperley in Sarnia, Ontario Canada he has been in contact with you. His Granfather was my Uncle ( George) Desmond Timperley, his nicknames were Des or Desie ( pronounced Dezie) or Tex. In the family no one ever called him George or Desmond. My Father ( John Ernest Timperley) D.O.B Dec.8,1900, his death was Jan.01,1978. Uncle Des was the youngest of the Timperley family as my Grandmother was pregnant with him when my Grandfather Ernest Timperley was killed in a mining accident in England.My father being the eldest of the family took on the responsibility of raising the children, and looking after my Grandmothe Betsey ( Joyce - Townsend ) Timperley until my Grandmother remarried to John Edward Connolly in England ( I'm not sure of the date of their wedding ). She had one son by him Edward Connolly Jr. who had 2 children Thomas and Maurine Connolly. Both are married now, however I have lost contact with them over the years. My Father John Ernest Timperley Married Hannah Pugh April 30,1927, in Liverpool Cheshire and immigrated from England to Canada May 2, 1927 by way of a ship. They then travelled by way of train to a place called byemore Alberta were they lived for 2 years. My Father returned first to find a job which he did at Imperial Oil Ltd. and worked there for 35 years. He was also Chairman of the Joint Industrial Council ( There wasn't a union there, the men would bring their grievances to the chairman of the council, who would then take it to the president of the refinery in Sarnia. He did this for 10 years or more I'm not sure.) He retired from Imperial Oil in 1959, at the age of 55. There are five (5) children in our family, They are in order, John Ernest Timperley D.O.B 1929, Married to Isabelle Tremain on Oct. 01,1948. They have 5 children in order are, Cheryle Ann Timperley, resides in Port Huron Michigan U.S.A. Divorced. Deborra Lynne( Timperley ) Singletary, resides in California U.S.A. Married Lauren Christine ( Timperley ) Patterson resides in Arkona Ont.Canada Married John Ernest Timperley Jr. resides in Dresden Ontario, Canada Married Brenda Rebeka Timperley who resides in California, U.S.A.. Married Betsey Ann ( Timperley ) Farr, D.O.B. 1931 Married Ronald Earl Farr July 08, 1950. They resided in Sombra, Ontario Canada from 1962 to 1996 now reside in Corunna, Ontario, Canada.They have 6 children Ronald Charles Farr, resides in Sombra Ontario, Canada, Married Beverley Ann Farr ( Rankin ) resides in Wilksport, Ontario Canada, ohn David ( Jack ) resides in Sombra, Ontario, Canada. Married Mary Kathleen ( Farr ) Bradburry, resides Corunna, Ont. Canada, Married Betsey Lee-Ann Farr, resides in Sarnia, Ont. Canada, Married Christopher Daniel Farr resides in Wallaceburg, Ont.Canada. Married Benjarmin William Timperley, D.O.B. 1933 Married Margaret Lumley May 5,1951. They had 6 children in order Benjamin William Timperley Jr., resides in Barrie, Ont. Canada, Robert John Timperley ( Infant Deceased ) Sarnia, Hannah Marie Timperley, resides in Sarnia, Ont. Canada, Divorced Douglas Norman Timperley resides in Sarnia, Ont. Canada, Married Mark Leonard, resides in Brights Grove, Ont.Canada Married Jeffory Scott ( Infant Deceased )Sarnia. Dorothy Joan ( Timperley ) Mandefield D.O.B 1934 Married Sept.10, 1965 to Robert Mandefield resided in Victoria B.C. Canada no living children. Date of Death Oct 08,1999 Carol Rose ( Timperley ) Doyle D.O.B. 1945 Sarnia Ont. Canada Married Stephen Joseph Doyle 1984 Sarnia our children all married Margaret Rose Husband Eric Strisovich = 3 sons Dylan, Dustin, Darrian Robert William Wife Sandra Trembley = Johnnathan, Natasha Victoria, Susan Lynn Husband Shawn La Pierre = Shawn Jr. Nancy Elizabeth Husband Lincoln Peever = Taylor daughter and a son Bryan My family pertaing to my Father John Ernest ( Ernie) my Mother Hannah (Annie) Timperley satarted their family in Sarnia. My brothers, sisters, and myself were all born in Sarnia. Their families all live in Sarnia and surrounding areas of the Sania, except for my eldest brother's 3 girls which live in the U.S.A. 2 in California and 1 in Michigan. My other older brother 's boy Benjarmin Wm. Jr. and his family live in Barrie Ontario Canada. I suppose this part of the family should be a link of it's own Called " Timperley Descendants of John Ernest and Hannah ( Pugh) Timperley ", and my family linked to this site with another Web page of our own if that is possible. Since all of our children, my husband and myself live in Northern Ontario Canada, we live in Corbeil, Ontario. This little hamlet which is located on the outskirts of North Bay Ontario ( about a 15 min. drive ), known for the First live birth of natural living quintuplet girls born in the world back in the 1930s. This brought people from all over the world to see, the Dionne quintruplets. They themselves were taken all over the world and many companies took advanage as well as our government at the time to make large amounts of money from them with commercials with their faces for baby food, soap, as well as the tour for people to see them, which they themselves never saw due to the Doctor's involved and the Government of the time as I mentioned before. There has been a movie of their life, Jeff Bridges stared as Dr. Defoe who was the family doctor for the Dionne's at the time. The three surving quints only this year won a court settlement with the Canadian Government of today for the fortunes they never saw. A little history lesson on the area of Ontario where we live today. Back to my family, first of all I need to correct our marriage date it should read October 06th 1984, not the 05th. and our eldest daughter, Margaret Rose was born in the British Millitary Hospital in Iserlohnne Germany 1964. Her brother Calvin Roy Jr. was also born there on June 14th 1965, passed away Aug. 01,1965. Today North Bay is known as " The Gateway to the North " . Since we live in close proximity of North Bay I think this would be a suitable name for a Web page pertaining to my descendants of John Ernest and Hannah ( Pugh )Timperley. You can reach our children through this gateway, Englehart being the first and closest, second Timmins Ont, and third Hornepayne, Ontario which is even farther up in Northern Ontario. It is situated midway between Thunder Bay Ontario, and Sault St. Marie Ontario Canada. This is why I think our family web page should read "Timperley 's Gateway to Northern Ontario". My grandchildren's full names are from the eldest daughter to the youngest of our family, Margaret Rose( Osmond Doyle) Husband Eric ( Enrico ) Stisovich Dylan Joseph Felix Strisovich D.O.B. 1993 Dustin Robert James Strisovich D.O.B. 1994 Darrien William David Strisovich D.O.B 1997 Robert William Doyle Wife Sandra Trembley Natasha Victoria DoyleD.O.B. There is also a Saut St. Marie in the state of Michigan U.S.A. this is a border crossing many people visiting either country used most often to go to Northern Ontario for bear hunting, fishing, tourism etc. |
