Family HistoryMy brother believes Charles Anthony Timperley came from Wellington, a town on the outskirts of Shrewsbury which is the county seat. Cyril Frederick Timperley came from the Shropshire area possibly Wenlock. He served in the R.A.S.C. 1940-45. A daughter-Audrey died age 12 months in 1937. 6 children from this marriage surviving. Apart from the fact that he spent most of his life in the wythenshaw area I can offer no further information. Charles Anthony Timperley had or has a brother George believed to be in the Crewe, Cheshire area. He also has or had a brother Charles who was R.S.M. at Seymour Grove T.A. barracks after WW2, no other info on him as yet. 4. Cyril Frederick Timperley was in the Royal Army Medical Corps at the outset of WW2 then transferred to the Royal Signal Corps. He served in North Africa where he was wounded, he also served in Italy in the Salerno/ Monte Casino area. Christina, my mum is interred in Stretford cemetery in the same grave as Allan, my brother.
