SITE MAP AND OBJECTIVE
...and the resources listed will allow many genealogists to narrow their search parameters, get more information for the time spent online and ultimately allow you to turn off your computer for a time so you visit your local Family History Centre and order the microfilm of the original records and other resources you have found online.[1]
The above statement fairly represents the objective of this folder. The Temperley Northumberland and Durham subfolder is a folder within Timperley.org. The folder includes research helps and birth, marriage, and death indexes that can be used for file reference. Maps are included as to be viewed simultaneously with data. Each record is uniquely numbered and sources are cited for some charted family group sheets. The data is tabular and can be copied to a spreadsheet program or word processor. Microfilm notes are added to the historical section, and a 'threads' section was added to support some of the secondary information and information that is exchanged between researchers. Data that is not listed on available indexes or that is hard to find is listed in the historical section as well. As an example, there are some parishes in Durham that are not listed on the IGI, but they are available from microfilm.
